Double Denim is excited to announce our second ever release, which will be a 7" for one of our recent favourites Seapony.
It was on our usual trawl through the murk of the internet that we found the dewy-eyed gold of 'Dreaming'. It didn't so much stand out from the crowd as leap right out of the computer screen. We loved the way the song straddled the gap between the surf of stuff like Best Coast and the slackerisms of Pavement, Yuck and countless others. It was a gap that we didn't know needed filling but Seapony have done a fine job.
The tracklisting is as follows:
2. So Low
3. Late Summer
The release will be limited to 300 and our stock is even less than that so if you don't want to miss out then we advise pre-ordering. We expect the vinyl to be in stock from the 15th of November.
For a limited time you can pre-order Seapony alongside our first release by Blackbird Blackbird for a special price too.
'The sunny and sad, jangle-pop romance bundled inside “Dreaming” gives the track a foggy, delicately scuffed nostalgia reminiscent of the breezy, honeyed hits of bygone days.' - Transparent (Altered Zones)
'This Seattle retro-pop outfit writes songs for late in the prom dance evening. Heartfelt notions of missing and growing and teenage love.' - Yvynl
'Seattle’s Seapony make irresistible pop songs infused with little bursts of warm air and just the right amount of static. ' - Road Goes Ever On
